POLARIS

POLARIS It arises from the polarities that run through the human experience: light and shadow, control and freedom, the individual and the collective.

Through physical theater, Butoh, poetry, and sound design, two bodies confront what they seek to control, hide, or set free. Kafka and Orwell remain points of reference in a universe where the personal and the political intertwine.

The closeness between performers and audience gradually breaks down the safe distance of the observer. Body, word, sound, and light create an experience in which being present also means taking a stand.

Format: multidisciplinary indoor performance
Duration: 60 minutes
Languages: physical theater, Butoh dance, poetry, and sound art
Reference space: 7.50 m × 6.50 m, with a height of 4 m to the rafters
Current roster: 3 people
Sound: A sound system suitable for the room, with a surround sound setup
Light: Custom lighting design, adaptable to the technical conditions of the space
