WordBodySoundCommunity
I blend poetry, performance, and sound design to develop projects that emerge from listening to places, people, and the stories they carry.
My journey has taken me to stages, homes, studios, and creative processes both in and outside of Portugal.
Moments Beyond Borders
- Spoken Word Festival Warsaw
- Youth Slam for the Future
- Artown NOW
- SCAPE Street Show: Euro-Asia Edition - tba
My practice
I don't think of poetry, performance, or sound design as separate disciplines.
Each creation begins with the material it encounters. A conversation, an interview, a sound recorded in the area, a writing workshop or the space itself can become part of the process and shape the language of the work.
It is through this process of listening that I create performances, installations, concerts, artist residencies, and community-based creative projects, weaving together words, the body, and sound without imposing a predetermined form on them from the outset.
