Poetry is not dead.

At a time when attention is fragmented and silence has become a privilege, Whispers in the Ear invites us to slow down. To embark on a journey through the observation of contemporary life, where small snippets of experience are revealed against the light as subtle glimmers of hope.

Faced with the suffocating pace of the city, one learns to breathe again. Amid the noise and the rush, silence becomes a place of encounter.

Designed for intimate, leisurely listening, this is an album for dim lighting, a glass of wine, and the time needed for the words and music to fill the space without haste.

Much of the album’s sonic identity took shape during an intensive week of creation at my home studio in Fornos, Santa Maria da Feira. Together with João Mexia (Madrak) and José Gaspar (Bondz), each composition was tailored to each lyric in a deeply artisanal process, seeking to uncover the unique breath, rhythm, and silence inherent in every word.

With no ambition other than the freedom to create, these days were lived as an exercise in experimentation, discovery, and complicity. The result is a work crafted in intimacy, meant to be listened to with time, attention, and openness.
